Asian American Board Exchange

The Asian American Board Exchange (AABE) program is an online platform that matches Asian American Executives and Advocates with Asian American nonprofits in need of board members and board executives. Register by completing your profile as a board volunteer or a nonprofit organization.

Asian American Executive Network (AAEN) will provide candidates with a diverse skills and experiences in key areas for a non-profit organization such as fundraising, financing, strategy, operations, etc. We will provide the matching service based on the profiles submitted by the board of volunteers and the nonprofit organizations. We will connect board volunteers to nonprofits when there is a match in the completed profiles. Please note that you are expected to perform your own due diligence on the nonprofits or board volunteers. Asian American Executive Network does not get involved in the due diligence, selection, or confirmation processes.

The AABE program objectives are as follow:

1. Provide a networking platform for Asian American Executives and Advocates to support the community advocacy organization by joining their board.

2. Provide a networking platform for Asian American advocacy organizations (nonprofits only) to share their mission and announce their Board of Directors opportunities.

3. Prepare Asian American Executives and Advocates to serve as board directors via online/ live seminars. For example, understanding roles and fiduciary responsibilities as board members and learning Robert's Rules of Order and other kinds of parliamentary procedure to participate and lead board operations.

We will also be conducting networking events in-person or online to facilitate the matching process as appropriate. The Asian American Executive Network brings Asian American executives and advocates together to support Asian American nonprofits.

Here is the proposed timeline for 2025:

· August - 2025 – Launch and Recruit board volunteers and nonprofits participants.

· August – Decemeber, 2025 - Match board volunteers with nonprofits seeking mutual interest.

· August - Decemebr 2025 - Online seminar and networking events.
